Another Savvy Saturday video

Hi everyone!  I am up on the Spellbinders blog today with another video!  This my 4th video and I am happy to report they are getting much easier to make.  I am down to about 4 hours from start to finish.
The theme this week is layouts and I scrapped some fun pics of my boys using the PageMaps by Becky Fleck designer collection of dies.

Check it out the video if you have a minute or two.  Here is a peek at my page.

Stamped layered lace border card

Hi everyone!!  I was inspired by THIS OLDER CARD to redo it by using a stamp to create the border layers instead of pattern paper.  I used the Classic Lace Edges One stamp set from JustRite which is designed to coordinate with my favorite Classic Scallop Edgeabilities dies.
The flower is by Prima from one of the Mini Rose Stems Collections (I think the Tea Time pack) and the little tag is from Spellbinders set, Charmed, I'm Sure -which is my all-time favorite tag set and I stamped the little "hello" from the Vintage Banners set!!  The ribbon is the fabulous 1.5" silk in ivory.

Well, that's it for today.  It's the first day of the boys summer vacation and things are gonna get busy here in the Woerner household.  I will be taking it slow with my design teams this summer, but you can always see me on my regular schedule on the Spellbinders Blog.
***There is still time to enter my Sequin Blog Candy giveaway.***
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Gina K Days of Summer StampTV Kit Inspiration Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Days of Summer StampTV Kit Inspiration Blog Hop where we hope to inspire you with many beautiful ideas for the Stamp TV kit! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each because we will choose a winner who will win a $50 gift certificate to Gina K Designs!!  Be sure to check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hop to see if you are the winner.
Here is the kit, isn't it the cutest??
My first card uses the blooms stamped in Red Hot and Cherry Red ink, but the photo makes it almost looks pink.  I took the color scheme from a piece of the pattern paper from the Water Garden pack, and accented it with some buttons from the Sunrise Smoothie pack and the Cherry Red ribbon (which is out of stock).
Next up is a set of mini note cards I made.  I used the same image and border stamp, but changed up the colors, ribbons and embellishments all from the Colors Companions collection.
The group shot is kinda small (I think if you click on it, it will enlarge), so for a better view here are a couple of them by themselves.  I also used some sequins, rhinestones and mulberry flowers.

Ready for the hop?  Check out all the amazing designs and inspiration:
Here are a couple close up pictures.  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the hop!
All products used are from the Gina K Designs store.

Sequin blog candy

Hi everyone!  I recently bought some sequins and have been having a blast using them!  You can see some of the cards I made with them on this post, this post and this post and on my post coming tomorrow!  Sequins are super cute and are the latest trend in embellishments.  I buy them from Cartwright's Sequins online.  They are inexpensive, have an amazing (and overwhelming) selection and super fast shipping, I highly recommend them.

These little packets come with a crazy amount of sequins, so I thought I would share some!  It's hard to tell in these little piles, but there are hundreds in this picture!  I included some of my favorite colors, mixed collections in both 6mm and 5mm sizes.
To be entered for this giveaway leave me a comment on this post, and I will pick a winner Monday, June 17th.  Note you don't have to be a follower of any kind to enter, but please if you do leave a comment be sure to check back on Monday to see if you won.  I have so many blog winners who never contact me.

Full disclosure, click onto Cartwright's at your own peril.  They have a crazy amount of sequins in all shapes, finishes and sizes.  Be prepared to place an order!  Just sayin'!
Some sequin info, the sequins sold at Neat & Tangled and Studio Calico and such are 6mm in size.  I like this size, but my favorite is the 5mm, which seems more scaled to my cards for flower centers and such.  It's all about personal taste, but I also prefer the Satin and Opaque Iridescent finishes.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Smile with wood veneers

Hi everyone!  I have a couple fun happy cards using some of the wood veneers I've been holding on to forever!
This card uses a wood flower veneer from Prima, and you can find the same ones under the Recollections brand at Michaels.  I used the Hearts One die, Charmed I'm Sure and A2 Curved Borders One dies from Spellbinders.  Pattern paper is from Basic Grey, Kneehighs.  This card really makes me smile!
This one uses alpha and heart veneers from Studio Calico along with 2 of my favorite flower die sets, Jewel Flower and Flourishes and Rose Creations.  The pattern paper is Echo Park, This and That Graceful.
I'll keep it short and sweet today.  We finally have some sunshine and my garden is calling me!!  Thanks for stopping by, here are some close up pictures.
Spellbinder dies and all ribbons can be found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Ribbons: White wrinkled, teal pleated and 1/8" gray velvet ribbon
