Summertime (I know, it's barely spring)

Hi everyone! I have a quick post sharing a card for today's Unity's Friends with Flair
The cute summer stamp is from the set, All Smiles.  It's such a fun happy image -I really love this kit.  It's almost 2 years old now, but it's still a goodie!  I colored it with copics and kept it pretty simple.  I made this card for magazine submission awhile ago, it didn't get accepted and I forgot about it.  I thought FWF would be a perfect time to share it.  And, yes, it does make me long for hot summer days!
The fun paper is from one of my favorite MME lines, The Sweetest Thing, "Tangerine" pad and is perfect for summer.  The orange/white striped piece on the left is the coordinating MME "Tangerine" washi tape, but you can find the same tape in their Decorative Tape orange/pink set.
That's if for now, thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!  Here is a close up picture.
Card Deets:
Stamps - All Smiles (Unity Stamp Co)
Ink -Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)

No mess glitter sheets giveaway

Hi everyone!  I have a fun giveaway for you today.  The wonderful people at Zoom Creative are offering some of their Mess Free Glitter sheets to my blog readers!  You may remember they generously did a similar giveaway with me just over a year ago.

For those of you new to these sheets, you can find them online and at any Joanns.  They are sold in kits with multiple colors or in single sheets by the color.  Each package comes with a double sided adhesive sheet and a glitter sheet.  They also have several kits geared for kids, the no mess glitter is perfect for kid projects!

Here is how they work.  First, I stick a piece of the double sided adhesive to some cardstock -I cut a piece just large enough for my die.  You don't have to stick your adhesive sheet to cardstock, I do this to make it sturdier.  You could bypass this step and stick your shape directly to your card.  Next, using my Spellbinder dies, I die cut it into whatever shape I need.  Here I have chosen a heart.
Then, you peel back the protective sheet exposing the adhesive.
Next, you peel back the glitter sheet exposing the silver side.  The silver side is the side you stick to the adhesive.  I just slipped my heart right in the middle.  Then, rub the glitter on just like a rub-on.  In fact, I use my old rub on stick to make sure all the bits and ends are stuck down.

Here is the heart all glittered up!  You can see I stuck the heart in the top corner of my glitter sheet, I like to keep as much of my glitter sheet as possible.
Seriously, NO MESS!  You can whip your hand across it and nothing comes off, nothing on your craft space, or if you are like me and glitter on your pants or face!  LOVE this!

Here is a card I made using the new color, Desert Sand.  I love the light golden tone of this glitter.  I made a frame with it using my Spellbinder dies and used the scraps to die cut some flower layers for my rose.
Ready to give these glitter sheets a try?  To enter this giveaway, leave me a comment on this post and I will chose four (4) winners who will each win 4 colors of glitter sheets! You have until Friday the 29th to enter, I will post the winner Friday evening and the winners will have until Monday to contact me.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck!  Here is a close up picture.

Yay squeal!

Hi everyone!  I have another card to share from the CAS-ual Friday Stamps March release. My card uses the set Exclamations. I thought the asterisk image would look cool in neon, so I busted out my new neon inks from Hero Arts.  They are really cool, but man that bright pink does some serious staining! I wanted a little matching bling in the center of each one and since it's hard to match neon ink, I colored silver rhinestones with copic markers.
I don't sew on my cards that often and I tried to get all fancy with my zig-zag stitch on this one.  It didn't quite work out like I planned, but it turned out OK in the end.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here's a close up picture.
Card Deets:
Stamps -  Exclamations (CAS-ual Friday Stamps)
Inks - Neon orange, green, pink, and blue (Hero Arts)
Paper - Pure Luxury white and kraft cardstock (Gina K Designs)
Accessories - Say it With Bling 72 count rhinestones (Want2Scrap), copic markers, sewing machine

Perk up coffee card

Hi everyone!  I have a fun card to share using some goodies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.   The adorable stamps on this are from Verve's Better With You set (which is on sale for $18).
I LOVE my coffee in the morning and this set is my absolute favorite coffee set.  Like ever.  Julee did a fabulous job designing this one.
My card uses some of the MME Collectable "Remarkable" 6x6 pad paired with some 1.5" green striped ribbon.  I kept it pretty simple and accented it with some rhinestones, scored lines and a touch of washi tape along the bottom.  And of course I used my favie Spellbinders Standard Circles dies.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the first day of CAS-ual Friday Stamps March release sneak peeks!
Today we are spotlighting the set, Exclamations.  This set has 7 playful sentiments and 3 sizes of an asterisk image.
My card uses one of the sentiments and I paired it with the flower blossom from Loving Thoughts.  I stamped the flower several times in different colors and fussy cut out the layers.  The cute zig-zag rhinestones are from Want2Scrap.  So fun for an ah-mazing card!

Be sure to check out what my fellow Inksquad girls have samples to share on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog, and Michele will be giving away CAS-ual Fridays Store gift certificate to one lucky commenter on the blog, so head on over!!

Moxie Fab speech bubble challenge

Hi everyone! Cath over on Moxie Fab World has a couple fun challenges going on right now.  I played along with the Speech Bubble challenge.

My card uses the cutie set from Technique Tuesday called Chit Chat and some new Fancy Pants papers, Trendsetter.  The bow is made from the new Faux Canvas ribbons -love these, they are similar to seam binding ribbon, but thicker.
I love the speech bubble shapes in this set.  The hearts are my favorite.  I used a light green copic marker to highlight each heart.  I love the fresh colors in this Fancy Pants collection, so you will probably be seeing more cards using these papers.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

More Gina K samples

Hi everyone!  I have a few more cards to share from Gina K's February release.  First up is a card using the set, A Year of Flowers 2, illustrated by Melanie.  I mentioned it before, but this is my favorite flower set designed by Melanie so far.  I just love the whimsical feel to it!!

I colored the flowers very simply with a swipe of my marker on each petal and some dots of color and pearls in the center.  I love that these flowers look perfect colored all ways.  The cute papers are from the new Park Bench pad by Fancy Pants.
Next up is a card using All Occasion Tags 2, illustrated by Tami Mayberry.  The tags in this set coordinate with Spellbinders Grommet Tags.  On this card, I stamped the tag frame image and colored it in with copics then die cut it out.  The stripes in the background are a combination of papers from Seen and Noted, washi tape and cardstock.  And the hexagon embossing folder in the background is So Trendy from Spellbinders.
My first card plays along with last week's challenge from CAS(E) This Sketch.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  I'll leave you with some close up pictures.

Addicted to washi tape

Hi everyone! Yep, I definitely think I'm addicted to washi tape!  I am determined NOT to let my tape sit untouched (like I do with so many of my embellishments), so I have a couple more cards to share today.

I was inspired to make a little set of cards that coordinates with my card from last week. I used the same stamp set from JustRite, Grand Sentiments. I used My Mind's Eye washi tape along with some MME enamel dots and Spellbinders Jewels Flowers and Flourishes die set.  P.S. bonus points for me using the enamel dots, those babies have sat on my desk untouched for a month!
Just Because card
Happy Birthday card
These cards are also for the Washi Tape Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  The challenge is to use your tape in an interesting way.  I used tape on my card in strips, but I also used it to make coordinating die cuts. This is super easy to do, here is a picture showing how I did it.  You will notice that on most tapes the pattern is designed to match up with itself, allowing you to cover a bigger area seamlessly.
Notice how I tore a small piece of tape to keep the die in place on the paper (upper right corner)?  I can't tell you how many times I had to start over because the die slipped.  It's so easy and convenient to tear off an extra piece, it's worth the extra 2 seconds.  Trust me!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a couple close up pictures.
