So Blessed

Hi everyone!  I have a quick post for you all today.  Lots going on in the Woerner household, we bought a 42" flat screen TV and there is alot of excitement around here!  Yeah, I finally decided to upgrade from the 27" old one I had from college.  lol!

My card uses something old and something new.  I used the fabulous older Verve set, Just for You and my brand new MME, Stella Rose "Hazel" 6x6 pad.  The rhinestone flourish is from Zva Creative from one of their flourish packages, but I cut it up and changed the rhinestone arrangement to fit my card.  The small flower accents are from a tiny flower punch that I "curled" using my stylus tool.
Thanks for stopping by and I will leave you with a close up picture.

Card Deets:
Stamps - Just For You (Verve Stamps)
Ink - Ranger distress ink Vintage Photo
Paper - Vintage Cream cardstock, Stella Rose "Hazel" 6x6 pad (MME)
Accessories - Classic circle nestabilities (Spellbinders), crystal flourish (Zva Creative), teal crocheted trim (my stash), sewing machine, Scallop trim border punch (SU!), pink mulberry flower (Recollections by Michael's)

Friends with Flair

Hi everyone!  Today I am joining in with the Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop!  There is a master list of all the 50 designers participating in the FWF this week, so take a lookie at the Unity Blog for links to everyone playing today.

My card uses the fabulous stamp set and October 2010 Kit of the Month, Take Time to Laugh.  I colored in the letters lightly to coordinate with the pattern paper.  The AMAZING paper is from Webster's Pages, Sweet Santa.  I love that you can use it for more than Christmas!  I always seem to forget to use the images on the paper AS an image on my cards.  I love the vintage-y look of this and have to do it more.
The gorgeous flowers are from Prima (of course) and I used a touch of silk ribbon and memory thread to embellish them.  I created the pattern paper circle frame using the Spellbinder circle dies. You can see an example of how I made the circle frame in this blog post.  The photo of my card was removed for publication, but the picture of the Nestabilities is still there.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.

Card Deets:

Stamps - Take time to laugh (Unity Stamp Co)
Ink - Early Espresso (SU!)
Paper - Vintage Cream and pear pizazz cardstock, Sweet Santa PP 6x6 pad (Webster's Pages)
Accessories - Standard Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Pearls in Latte (Kaiser Craft), 1/4" silk ribbon in blush (May Arts), Fairytale roses in coral and Trellis Roses in Coral rose (first 4 items can be purchased at Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), Memory thread in Dark Ecru (DMC), Copic markers, Frond punch (Martha Stewart), Stardust Stickles (Ranger),

Gina K sneak peaks day 4: Framed Greetings

Hi everyone!  Welcome to day 3 of the Gina K Designs February release sneak peeks!  AND it's release day!!!!

Today we are previewing the last set, the One Free with Three set, Framed Greetings.  The 1 Free with 3 set means you get this set free if you order 3 or more sets from the store.  Coolness!  I LOVE this set!  It's image coordinates with the Spellbinders Labels 16 -which is my FAVORITE Labels set right now!!  This set has the labels frame image and 4 awesome sentiments.
I stamped the image and colored it with copic markers to match the pattern paper.  I stamped the butterfly 2 times and popped it up.  I colored clear rhinestones with the same rust color marker (E07) as the image frame -love everything all matchy matchy.  Oh and I tried sewing around my circle again, only this time I failed -lol!  I sewed right off the circle 3 times, pfft.  I need more practice I guess.

Here are the GKD girls who have previews for you today.  Be sure to check them out and don't forget to comment for a chance to win this stamp set Gina is a set away to 4 random lucky commenters!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you tonight at the release party which starts at 7-10 pm CST, over at StampTV.  There will be lots of fun chatting, challenges, contest questions and full set reveals!!

Gina K sneak peeks day 3: Live Life Loud and Christ is Risen

Hi everyone!  Welcome to day 3 of the Gina K Designs February release sneak peeks!  Today we are previewing two sets, Live Life Loud and Christ is Risen.  First up, Live Life Loud.  This is a super fun set illustrated by Tami Mayberry.  It has 8 images and 4 sentiments.  I have to say, this is the perfect set for all those tweens out there!

For my card, I went SUPER CAS.  I easily could have omitted the white matting and made it a 1 layer card.  I stamped the square outline image in Versamark and stamped the 2 other images and sentiment directly over it.  Gina's stamps are cling mounted red rubber, so for perfect placement of images, I always use a Stamp-a-ma-jig -truly a life saver!!
Next, we have Christ is Risen.  This amazing set is illustrated by Nina Brackett and has 4 images and 9 sentiments.  For my card, I stamped the image with purple pigment ink and embossed it with clear EP.  I highlighted the wings with a pale yellow copic marker and accented the image with tiny yellow rhinestones.  IRL the rose matches the purple ink perfectly, but for some reason the picture makes it look much darker.
You know, in looking at my cards I notice that I used kraft cardstock on both and I didn't use pattern paper on either one.  The funny thing is I made these cards on different days!  Funny how that happens.

Here are the GKD girls who have previews for you today.  Be sure to check them out and don't forget to comment for a chance to win these stamp sets!!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 4 of previews AND be sure to come by the release party which will be tomorrow night (Thursday) from 7-10 pm CST, over at StampTV.

I'll leave you with a couple close-up pictures.

Card Deets (You rock):
Stamps - Live Life Loud
Ink - Versamark, chocolate chip, baja breeze
Paper - White and Kraft cardstock
Accessories - White satin ribbon (Basics ribbon), copic markers, 2mm -3mm and 4mm clear rhinestones (Pizzazz Aplenty)

Card Deets (Rejoice):
Stamps - Christ is Risen
Ink - Purple Hydrangea (VersaMagic chalk ink)

Gina K sneak peeks day 2: Little Critters and Chocolate Bunnies

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K Designs February release previews!  Today we are previewing two sets, Little Critters and Chocolate Bunnies!  First up is Little Critters, this fun set is illustrated by Theresa Momber, and has 6 images and 5 sentiments.  These images are just darling and I am completely IN LOVE with the mushroom images.

My little froggie card is pretty simple.  I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored him with copic markers to match the colors in the pattern paper.  I cut out both the frog and the mushroom cap.  A couple silver pearls and some burlap string are the finishing touches.  I decided to take advantage of a rare sunny day and take my pictures outside.
Next we have the adorable Chocolate Bunnies set illustrated by Asela Hopkins.  This sweet little set has 4 images and 5 sentiments and is perfect for those Easter cards.  I stamped the little bunny in brown ink, lightly outlined him with copic markers and cut out.  The sentiment is from the set previewed yesterday, Basket Blessings.  Lots of sewing on this little circle card.  Seriously, I need more practice as it took me forever to sew around that circle -lol!
Here are the GKD girls who have previews for you today.  Be sure to check them out and don't forget to comment for a chance to win these stamp sets!!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 3 of previews.  AND be sure to come by the release party which will be Thursday evening (7-10 pm CST), over at StampTV.

Spellbinders Nestabilities, Basics and Beyond blog tour

Hi everyone!  Today I have a very special post!  I am thrilled to participate in the Blog Tour to review the fabulous new book:

I have to say, this book is fabulous!  It has a little bit of something for everyone filled cover to cover with 15 amazing projects.
The book itself is divided into 4 main categories: Baby, Birthday, Christmas and Life Moments.  In addition to the projects, there are 6 pages of step by step instructions outlining special techniques and "did you know" tips throughout. This book will appeal to every level of paper crafter!

Each person in the blog tour was asked to review a project, and I was asked to review Retro Birthday, made by Kim Crawford.  You can find this project starting on page 22.
What I love most about this project is the use of circles.  Circles are so diverse!  They can be used on masculine or feminine cards and can be clean and simple or elaborate.  Kim chose to go with a neutral background combined with pops of colors.  The white circle frames around each color adds the perfect amount of POP and they are easy to make with any Circle Nestabilities.

Isn't the pinwheel cupcake topper just darling?  I think it could be used for lots of other projects as well.  They look complicated to make, but actually are pretty easy if you follow the 3 steps using Classic Square Nestabilities on page 6.  I love how she dressed up the party favor bag using the same circles and papers -what a great way to use those little "extras" you always seem to have after making a card!

I was so inspired by the project that I created a birthday card of my own.  This Wednesday is my son's 7th birthday (happy birthday Daniel), and I made this for him.  I used the white circle frames and accented the card with tiny rhinestones and the small circle centers of the frame.  The darling dinosaur (which are still a hit at this house) is from the Dino-Mite set by Gina K Designs.  I created the circles and frames using the Standard Classic Circles LG (S4-114) and SM (S4-116).
Be sure to check out the events page of the Card Maker magazine website to see the locations of the blog tour for the rest of the week!

Once again, the link to purchase the book is HERE.  The book is available in print form AND as a digital download!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

CASEing Charlene!

Hi everyone!  I am the guest Challenge Hostess for this week's SCS Featured Stamper challenge -how fun!!  This week we honor my friend and stamper extraordinaire, Charlene!  Her SCS name is Willow01 and her gallery is full of amazing cards, I hope you have a chance to play along!  I cased this cutie card, You are Simply the Best.  I love the little trio of paper flowers on the side.  WHAT! I can't believe I forgot to add those to my card!  lol!

My card uses Technique Tuesday's cutie set, Long Stemmed Sentiments.  The flower blooms and vase are stamped and cut out.  The sentiment is from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages.   I just love the (new to me) Labels 16 and I thought it's shape was the perfect for this card.  The papers are from Graphic 45, their new Once Upon a Springtime collection (you can get these both at the Stamp Simply Ribbon store).  I have to say, G45 isn't always my style, but there are lots of fabulous prints in this 8x8 pad -I really like it!!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll leave you with a close up picture.

Anything is Possible

Hi everyone!  I have another card showcasing one of Verve's older stamp sets, Starstruck.  This set has 9 sentiments and 7 star related images!  Love this set!
I used Crate Paper's Restoration 6x6 paper for this card.  Speaking of Crate Paper, I saw their new papers at CHA and can I just say -WOWEEEE, you will LOVE!  But I digress, I used Verve's Vintage Oval Frame die for the sentiment and see how I stamped a couple of the star swirls on the yellow background paper?  So fun.  I accented each little star with a tiny rhinestone.  Finally, I love how the dark brown ribbon really makes the bright blue mulberry flower POP!  Sigh... such fun colors.

Oh and be sure to check this out!.  There will be a blog tour next week showcasing the amazing new Spellbinder's book from DRG Publications!  And I am honored to kick off the tour on Monday!

I will leave you with a close up picture.  Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps - Starstruck (Verve Stamps)

A Virtual Party for Gina K

Hi everyone and welcome to a very special blog hop!  Today is Gina's birthday and YOU are invited to her Virtual Birthday Party!  Each of her DT's blog features some part of the birthday experience.  Hop around to see the amazingly creative projects the team created to honor Gina on her special day!  If you came here from Theresa's blog you are on the right track, otherwise you can head over to Carolyn's blog to start at the beginning.

I brought the GIFT TABLE to the party!!  Check out this assortment of gifts!  Totally cute, huh? All these boxes are in kraft, think of the stamping possibilities -LOL!
Photo from The Packing Source.
My birthday card for Gina uses the Sent With Love Stamp TV kit.  The cake image is sooo fun and whimsical, I thought it would be perfect to pair with the MME Fine and Dandy, Tickled Pink paper.  I colored the cake with both Copic markers as well as Sakura glitter pens.  For my layout, I used an old Card Patterns sketch (late again).
Please join us in wishing Gina a Happy Birthday by hopping along. AND how about someone taking home a party favor?  If you head on over to Gina's Blog and leave her some birthday love, we will chose TWO lucky people to receive a FREE stamp set!"

The next stop on the hop is the lovely and talented Asela!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture of the cake.
