Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #48

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! Check out these delicious strawberry yummy cupcakes! Once again, I just want to reach right in there and GRAB ONE!!I took inspiration from the strawberries. I sooo want these to be in season RIGHT NOW, but I digress! Hahaha! My card uses some Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety goodness -both the mini deck paper and the chipboard!

The layout is this week's sketch from Mercy's Tuesday sketch #62. from Mercy. I got brave and finally used some of my crocheted trim from Melissa Frances and scrunched it up (not sure what the technical term is for this). I bunched up the top of the trim and stuck it to a strip of Scor-Tape. Seems to have worked pretty well. How do you all attached your scrunched trim?

The sentiment is from Verve's Thankful Accent set. To get that shape, I used a circle nestie then trimmed off the top and bottom.

So, everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC48 when uploading. Every week, Rachel highlighs the top 5!!

I also wanted to mention there are MORE new goodies in the store!! Rachel received a shipment of...

wait for it...

BORDER PUNCHES (be still my little heart)!

and...

KaiserCraft 6x6 pads, stamps and embellishments! These paper pads are amazing with flocked/glittered papers AND 4 pages of die cuts!! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE RACHEL!?! You can check out all the new stuff in the "New" category!

Now head on over to the Sweeties and see how they rocked these adorable cupcakes!!!!

More thank you note cards

Hi everyone! Yep, you read correctly. I made another set of 3x3 mini thank you cards. I can't stop myself. These little guys are addicting and a GREAT way to use up scraps.

The sentiments on these are from Ippity Stamps, Just a Note and one is from Music of My Heart. Each of these uses My Mind's Eye Love Me Do paper and die cuts. It was a valentine line, but I think the colors and patterns works well for thank yous as well! Each card has a different ribbon trim, I used turquoise pom trim from Webster's Pages, red burlap string, and yellow gingham ribbon. The white flowers are from that huge mondo canister of bridal table confetti from Michael's -I never use them and the scale is perfect for these mini cards. To make the green leaves I colored a flower with a green copic marker -presto, leaves!

Here is the trio:Here are the close ups:Once again, I am not too fond of the last card. I guess it's it's the "last card jinx"... hummm... Well, thanks for stopping by and see you on Sunday for this week's fabulous Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake challenge!

Webster's Pages Thank you note card set

Hi everyone! I am back from the Great Wolf Lodge. Thank you all for your well wishes! We had a great time, except Daniel (my 6yo) got sick and then before we checked out, I came down with it! Yuck! Isn't that the way tho?!?

Anyway, I did find some time today to finish my Webster's Pages 3x3 thank you note cards -this is for the Moxie Fab Olympics of Stamping Challenges, the Thank You category!

I just LOVE this paper from Webster's Pages. So rich and beautiful, you can even use it as the main image if you want! I used a variety of ribbons from the Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris kit -one uses the crocheted lace, one the velvet ric-rac and the other the cream twill. All so lovely -sigh!!! Keep in mind, you can buy Sharon's kit, or each item is available to buy individually!

Here are the cards individually:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

P.S. There is still time to leave comments on all the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Design Team blog hop posts to be entered for the amazing Blog Candy Prize -the ENTIRE WEBSTER'S PAGES POSTCARDS FROM PARIS KIT!! You have until 6pm Saturday the 27th!!

Stamp Simply Design Team blog hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the first Stamp Simply Design Team blog hop!! In celebration of our "maiden voyage" blog hop there will be some AMAZING blog candy for one super lucky commenter. To find out how to enter, be sure to head over to Sharon's blog where the blog hop fun begins!!

What is up for grabs you ask? Well, how about the Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris kit?!? Yep, it's AMAZING, retails for $45, and is pictured in the blog hop graphic above!

The theme of today's blog hop is Be True to Yourself! So the DT are making a project that reflects our stamping style. Egads! These kinds of things freaks me out. Style? Do I even have one?

So, I went to my "go-to" project - a set of mini thank you cards! I love making these little guys, they are fun AND practical as I am always in need of a thank you card. My cards use Sharon's Stamp Simply Lilac Avenue kit.

On each one, I used a combination of the amazing Lilac Avenue papers, rhinestones, pearls and the silk ribbon!! The sentiment uses JustRite Stamps Brayton font in 25pt. I used the versatile Horizontal Wood Stamper to put the letters in -you can make any sentiment you want when you have a font! The cards are all pretty simple, easy to put together and helps use up scraps -which is a 3x3 card's job don't cha think??

Here are close up pictures of each card. Isn't this paper the CUTEST!?! LOVIN' the Lilac Avenue! AND see how each one uses a different border punch? **happy sigh** I love border punches. I am not so sure about the last card, I think my mojo took a dive on that one! Oh well, you can't love them all right? LOL!
EDITED: You can purchase the Webster's Pages and KaiserCraft Lilac Avenue paper pads separate from the kits! They retail for $5.99 and $8.99 respectively and can be found here.

EDITED: I found time to make the first in what will be another set of 3 mini thank you cards using the Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris kit!! I love this kit soooo much. I kept it simple and used a piece of DP for the main card and punched the flower bloom from other papers. I love the brown crocheted lace -I just attached it to the card using Score-Tape. The sentiment is the same Brayton Font, in 25 pt.

Here is a master list of the Hop, just in case you get lost along the way.

Sharon- No Time To Stamp?
Michelle - Stop and Stamp the Roses (That's ME, you are HERE!)
Sherry
- Walking on the BAD Side
Linda- Linda's Works of the Heart
Barb- Explore. Dream. Discover.

You have until Sunday, February 28th 6pm (EST) to enter. Your next stop on the hop is SHERRY, have fun!! Thanks for stopping by!

I have 2 cards I can share with you. This first one was from the January issue of CARDS magazine. It uses the cutie Basic Grey Lemonade chipboard stickers and pattern paper with a Verve sentiment from Circular Sayings. This card was from last month's Verve release that I haven't had a chance to post. It uses my favorite Verve flower du jour, Love's Flower a sentiment from Accent Notes, and some beautiful lace from Sharon's Stamp Simply store. Tuesday Trigger card

Hi everyone! I have been eying Cath's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenges each week but never found time to play along until now. Check out this cutie trigger picture -
I immediately thought of my new 6x6 Webster's Pages from the Sweet as Cherry Pie line (I got mine from Sharon's Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris kit). I have been dying to use this red and white star piece of paper!! The shape of the background around the lamp reminded me of the Top Note die, so I used a favorite layout of mine. I really wanted to use some yellow gingham ribbon I have, but I couldn't get it to look right! So I went with using a strip of the pie and scalloped border each from a different piece from the kit. The sentiment is from Verve's Thankful Hearts.

I thought this would be a perfect card for my mom! She was always baking when I was young and taught me everything I know.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Thankful Hearts
Ink - black
Paper - white, night of navy, Sweet as Cherry Pie (Webster's Pages)
Accessories - Buttons, silver cord, top note die and scallop border punch (SU!), swiss dots EF

She also sells the amazing Bow Easy, Crafty Secrets products, stamps from JustRite Stampers, Kaiser pearl and rhinestones AND puts together wonderful accessory kits featuring Websters Pages (shown above) and KaiserCraft 6x6 pads.

Those of you who have followed this blog or my uploads on SCS, KNOW my love for Sharon Johnson. She is my stamping idol! When she asked me to be a part of this team I couldn't reply YES fast enough! Here are the other ladies on the team, talk about TALENT! WOWzers!

Deb Saanaren

My card today uses ingredients from the Stamp Simply Lilac Avenue Kit. I. Love. This. Kit. The paper is YUMMY and Sharon has put it together an assortment of ribbon, rhinestones, inks and pearls that will make you squeal with delight!

The bouquet image is from the JustRite Breath of Spring set. I love the images in this set -very versatile! I colored them with my Copic markers and added Stickles in the centers. See how I added the ribbon to the bouquet? I actually pierced holes on both sides and tied it around the stem into a bow. The 1/4" silk ribbon is the perfect scale for this!! Next Tuesday the 23rd will be the Design Team's very FIRST monthly blog hop! There will be some AMAZING blog candy up for grabs! Nothing short of spectacular from Sharon, I tell ya. AND before I go, I thought I would post some of my favorite cards that use JustRite and Crafty Secrets stuff!
