Cupcake inspiration challenge #44

Hi everyone! I'm back with 2 cards for this week's FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! I haven't stamped in over 2 weeks and man, it was tough getting started. I think I left my MOJO at the Basic Grey booth at CHA!! LOL! That place was amazing, but I digress... Check out these cutie cuppies!! There is all kinds of Valentine-y goodness going on. They're not subtle, that's for sure!
I took my inspiration from the hearts and all kinds of colors going on! I thought it would be perfect to use this week's Fall To Layout 76 and punched designer paper squares. This first card uses My Mind's Eye Be Loved and a couple punched hearts. The sentiment is from Verve's Heart's Desire set.

I had fun with this one, so I made another. This time using My Mind's Eye Love Me Do -such fun non-traditional Valentine colors in this line (sorry, Rach is out of stock),

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE blog and use CIC44 when uploading. Every week, Rach highlighs the top 5!!

Now head on over to the Sweeties and see how they rocked these cupcakes!!!!

I'm back from CHA and blog candy!

Hi everyone! I am back from CHA and what an amazing time! Three fun (and tiring) filled days!!

It was my first time going and all I can say is WOW!! What a thrill to meet some of my all time favorite stamping idols, fellow DT members and blogging friends from years back. ***happy sigh***

I have some pictures to share and then some impromptu BLOG CANDY!! At some point, when I wasn't looking, my followers passed the 200 mark! WOW, a big thank you for all of you who stop by and peek at what I share! So in honor of that, some blog candy is in order!!

I took over 100 pictures, so this may not be the only blog post with CHA pictures. But, in my tired state last night, here are a couple I uploaded. Without further ado...

Me and Amy Sheffer, the amazingly talented and fellow Verve Diva! I was able to spend most of my walking around time Monday with Amy and Tosh and it was AWESOME!Here is me with Tosh. Another happy sigh. I have been a fan of Tosh since my first days at SCS! She sent me a birthday card 2 1/2 years ago and I still have it on my shelf!! I'll never throw that masterpiece away, could you!?! Me and Kimberly Crawford! What up?!? This girl is HIL-arious and crazy talented! I walked around with Kim, Charlene, Carly and Steph on Sunday and I sooo love these girls! Here is me and my Dirty Girl roomie (that means we both entered the Dirty Dozen together), Joan Ervin. Sigh, I love Joan. We have shared so much together, and it was a thrill to finally meet her! This is me and Tanya Fox, the editor of Card Maker magazine. WOW! She is as sweet in person as I KNEW she would be. And what a cutie?!? Huh!?!Here is a picture of the Ippity team that was there. Sadly missing were Maria and Lisa (missed you girls). This group of ladies is TOP NOTCH! What fun! Left to right, Eva, Michelle, Eryn, Angela, me and Kelly. Here is a pic of me and Jeanne Streiff. WOWZERS! Talk about stamping idol! Jeanne is super talented and one of the most down to earth gals you'll ever meet. Super sweet!!Here is me and my fellow Ippity DT gal, Eva. What can I say Eva? You are one of my rocks and a voice of strength to me! Hugs to you girl!Last, but not least, here is me and Kelly. Kelly and I roomed at CHA and let me tell you, this girl is amazing! Generous, wonderful sense of humor and a total SWEETHEART! Miss you roomie!
What fun times!!

Monday's H{ippity} Hop

Hi everyone! It's Monday and time for another H{ippity} Hop! Be sure to go to the {ippity} blog to see the master list of all the players.

My project is also a sample for this week's H{ippity} Hop challenge brought to you by Kelly, which is a color challenge of Black, one neutral and one color. Use keyword: IHHC7 when uploading.

Hummm, this was tough for me. I struggle with black and white cards for some reason. So, I combined my card with this week's Featured Stamper challenge which honors my former DDC challenge mate Anne, jdmommy! She is queen of black/white and red! I cased this elegant card. I changed the image, added an embossed piece and actually ended up using Berry Sorbet instead of Real Red, but I just HAD to use the amazing satin ribbon -LOL!

My card uses the branch image from {ippity} Stamps Devoted and a sentiment from Just Wanted to Say. I colored the branch blooms with a Copic marker and added some iridescent sequins with black beads glued to the centers. This one is pretty simple, but has some texture to it with the use of my Swiss Dots EF! Congrats Anne, enjoy your day!

ON A SIDE NOTE: I will be taking a 2 week break from blogging. Tomorrow I will be getting a root canal (egads, I KNOW!), then at the end of the week I will be attending Winter CHA in Anaheim!! Very excited about the latter! I don't have a laptop, so no CHA posts while I am there, so you will see me when I return. I promise lots of pictures!

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out the rest of the H{ippity} hop goodness!

Cupcake Inspiration challenge #42

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! Check out these cutie cuppies!!
I took my inspiration from the AWESOME colors on these -they are a PERFECT match to my current favorite paper, My Mind's Eye Be Loved. I had a bit of trouble deciding on a card layout. I started one, then gave up and did another. THEN went back and finished the first. So, I have TWO cards today!!

This first card uses the amazing little image of Miss Anya Love from The Greeting Farm. Isn't she super sweet? Makes a perfect birthday card. I colored her with my Copics and added some yellow stickles in the center of the flowers. The sentiment is from Verve's Circular Sayings.

My second card uses the newly released Verve Plain Jane, Be Mine. LOVE this image!! I did another circle card -man these are addicting. They are easy to put together and they make such an impact! Again, I used My Mind's Eye Be Loved, some of my $1 twill ribbon, and some tiny pearls from the Zva Creative pearl wheel!

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE blog and use CIC42 when uploading. Every week, Rach highlighs the top 5!!

Now head on over to the Sweeties and see how they rocked these cupcakes!!!!

Stamp Simply -Mid Winter pick me up

Hi everyone, it time for another Stamp Simply challenge and Spring has sprung! LOL, NO not really, but this week Sharon has challenged everyone to create a project with a floral and springtime colors! You know, kind of a visual break from all the cold.

My card uses some yummy new Melissa Frances pattern paper I just received. I also am experimenting with some more chipboard. This time I inked it up with white craft and when it wouldn't dry (even with the heat gun) I dipped it in white EP and embossed it! LOL! I sponged the edges, added some Kaiser pearls, and tied some of the luscious white 1/4" silk ribbon from Sharon's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

The sentiment panel uses Verve's Wishful Elegance set. I am in desparate need of Birthday cards -so heads up! It's hard to see in the pic, but I stamped the "sunflower-y" blooms randomly in light yellow ink.

Everyone is welcome to play along!! Sharon has Mr. Linky on the challenge post, so be sure to link up your card. And, be sure to use keyword SSNOTIME122 when you upload to SCS. Be sure to stop by the team's blogs to see all their heart cards!
