The flower was made by using my Blossom nesties dies slightly distressed and adorned with a couple of the silver pearls from Michael's. To glue on the letters, I used my Sakura Quickie Glue pen, worked like a charm!

AND, there is a super sale over at Hope Stamps Eternal! Rach is having a storewide sale of 20% thru Monday. Even the new releases from Inka, Imaginisce and Mark Paper Co are on sale too!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Page 37, a sketch card and a SALE!!

Check out page 37!! There may be a cute Elzybells card there designed by me!!

I also have a quick card to share. This card uses SCS sketch from yesterday #239. I LOVE the simple clean panels on the sketch and I thought it would be perfect for this branch image from Unity's June KOTM, Perfect in Every Way. I colored it with some copic markers that coordinated with the 2 small striped panels of MME Tres Jolie DP. It is subtle, but I added a skinny strip of dotted DP onto the left panel just for interest. Then I added some simple coral satin edged organdy and silver pearls from Michaels.

OH!! And Rachel has tons of the NEW RELEASES in the store! The brand new Imaginisce Christmas and Halloween lines! The brand new Marks Paper Co English Garden collection! The brand new lines from Inkadinkado! And the BEST PART? EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS ON SALE 20% THRU MONDAY -INCLUDING ALL THE NEW RELEASES!
I also wanted to mention that I have added lots of new cards to my Etsy store! Thanks for stopping by.

Card Deets:
Stamps - Perfect in every way (Unity), sentiment is misc clear stamp
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, cameo coral for sponging

HSE Cupcake Inspiration #17

Hi everyone, it's Sunday and that means another fabulous HSE Cupcake Inspiration challenge! Set your peepers on this plate of yumminess...

Disclaimer: my card DOES NOT do these cupcakies justice AT ALL! I seem to have peetered out on making cards today after all the DTGD challenges -whew!

OK so, after admitting that this is not my favorite card of all time, here it is...

The whimsical image is called Butterfly Trail and is a sneak peek of the soon to be released Inkadinkado $1.99 series stamps! Rachel is expecting them in the store SOON!! The felt flowers are from Zva Creative and the gem brads are Basic Grey's Lemonade glazed brads. I was completely drawn to the bright pink and green of the cupcakes and I thought PTI's Raspberry Fizz bitty dots paired with the New Leaf were perfect! For my layout, I used the Weekend Sketch Challenge #90, hosted this week by my fellow Verve Diva, Lauraly!

After much fiddling on this, I thought it needed something at the top, so I pulled out and dusted off my SU corner punch. Remember when we used corners on EVERYTHING? I haven't put corners on a card in AGES and thought it would be fun to do so.

Everyone is welcome to play along! Just link your card to Mr. Linky on the HSE blog. Each week, Rachel will showcase the Top 5 picks!! Now it's time to check out my fellow HSE Sweetie's cards and see how they rocked those cupcakies!!

I played in Becca's challenge -to use dies or punches, AND this week's today's Ways to use it challenge -to use charms, AND last week's week's Fall to layout 51 for the sketch. -Whew -a triple challenge card.

I used some of my DCWV citrus paper for the colors. I think get well cards should be bright and cheery!! I covered some chipboard for the corner. I made the flower embellishment with my Blossom nestabilities. The button and cord are from PHH.

Next I have another triple challenge card. Cindy's sketch, Lauraly's ribbon and Bonnie's wings challenges!! Here is a link to the master challenge thread where you can find all three.

The texture cardstock is DCWV metallic matstack in copper, the pattern paper is Basic Grey Cupcake, the Oregon Raindrops are the Denim bottle from PHH, and the lovely angels image is from Crafty Secrets their Fairy Enchanting stickers!

And last I have a card for Cindy Haffner's sketch challenge. I can't get enough of these sketches, and there was another posted today that I am dying to use!! The DP is SU! designer print series and the circle chipboard piece is from Basic Grey's Lemonade Chipboard stickers (yep, still using these). Some silver pearls from Michael's in the bottom corner -soooo love them!!

Lots of cards to share

Hi everyone! I have lots of cards to share with you today, so here goes! This first card is for this week's CAS challenge which was a color challenge to use Turquoise, bright yellow and bright orange! What fun colors! I think this makes a bright Get well soon card! The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday, Simple Sentiments. The stems and leaves are from Verve's Thankful Blossom set. The flowers are various primas and there are stickles on the center flowers.

This next card is for today's SCS sketch challenge. I needed a bright fun card for a special someone's upcoming birthday!! This sunburst image from Verve's Wishful Elegance set. I colored them with copic markers and put little buttons in the center. The dew drops at the bottom are from Heidi's Sunburst Oregon raindrops. Each button is tied down with some burlap string -LOVE this stuff, I use it with ALL my buttons!! fun fun fun!

These next 2 cards are from last month during my guest designer month with Unity. Oh my! In looking at this card now, I see it has most of the same elements as my sketch card today! Isn't it funny when that happens?

For this card, I used the Tiny Giggle Grove set for the uber cute tree, which I pieced with PTI's Lemon Tart bitty dots. The sentiment is from the June KOTM, Perfect in Every Way. It also uses some of that fabulous Martha Stewart punched border cardstock. Each of the punched flowers have a little yellow Kaiser bling in the center. They are also tied in with the tree and the sentiment oval.

This next Unity card also uses the June KOTM, Perfect in Every Way. I used one of my favorite images - the owl! I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it with some copic markers. The DP and matching chipboard border are from MME's Laundry Line, Flirty. Cute huh? The top part of the border is the negative space of the border pack. I posted pics on this post.

Couple things before I go. First, the Verve Project Parade is going on and this month's theme is "Divine Details". All the Divas gives you a peek at our card making process and details! My turn is tomorrow, so stay tuned for my "process"!!

AND, tomorrow also starts the annual Dare To Get Dirty challenges with the SplitcoastStampers Dirty Dozen Girls! The challenges run this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I am hosting a challenge again this year and my challenge is tomorrow, so stay tuned and I hope you play along!!!

HSE Sunday Cupcake Inspiration challenge

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means another FABULOUS Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Inspiration challenge!! Check out this week's loveliness! Yummy!

I was drawn to the awesome circles on the background, aren't they fun?!? Of course I pulled out my Basic Grey Lemonade Chipboard stickers for my card!! I remember seeing the TCP Tuesday sketch this week had lots of fun circles, so I used it for my layout. I pulled in the blue on the frosting with the Baja Breeze cardstock. I used my Score-Pal to make score lines every 1/4" for some interest. To finish I added a touch of Zva bling to the birdie. The sentiment is from my go-to Verve sentiment set, Circular Sayings.

Everyone is welcome to play along!! You DON'T need to use cupcakes on your card, just be inspired in any way by the delicious cupcake! Be sure to link your card to Mr. Linky at the Hope Stamps Eternal blog.
Now head on over to my fellow HSE Sweeties blogs to see what cupcake loveliness they have created!!

Raspberry chipboard cherries

Hi everyone! Yep, I used more of my Basic Grey chipboard!! This time I used some of the Lemonade chip stickers which just happen to be a PERFECT match for Dawn's Raspberry Suite color challenge. This week's challenge is to use Spring Moss, Raspberry Fizz, Cream and the new dark red color Scarlett Jewel. I don't have any Scarlett Jewel and I'm not sure what it compares to, but the dark circle cherries on this chip sticker looks like it to me!!

I put little vintage cream buttons on each cherry, embossed the bottom spring moss layer with a cuttlebug borders folder, and used some of my new raspberry bitty dots and squares DP! The sentiment is from Verve's Circular Sayings -one of my go-to fav sets! I think this turned out really fun. I am DETERMINED to used up all my chipboard stickers, so I hope you like seeing cards using it -LOL!

AND, before I forget, the Verve project parade is going on! This month's theme is Divine Details where each Diva tells you all a bit of our cardmaking process and some of our favorite cardmaking details. I have been blown away by Jen and Amy's posts so far. Mine will be up in a couple days. EEK - I best be gettin' to it, and I hope you all won't be BORED with my details!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Circular Sayings
Ink - black, raspberry fizz for sponging
Paper - Vintage Cream, Spring moss, Raspberry fizz Bitty dots and squares
Accessories - burlap string, raspberry and cream buttons, small oval punch, cuttlebug border EF, Vintage cream twill

Fun with Junebug X's 2!

Hi everyone! I have 2 sketch cards to share with you today. I just LOVE the new Basic Grey Junebug and Lemonade lines!! LOVE them! So today I decided to play a bit with my Junebug papers and matching chipboard stickers! So much I made 2 cards. Actually, I have made a new little rule for myself -to USE up my beloved goodies. We've all been there, get new stuff -ohh and ahh over it and then NEVER use it. Not anymore.

This first card uses some of the flower chipboard stickers. I found the white panels a bit too stark, so I added a scored line frame using my ScorPal. Gives it that little extra something. You can't see in the picture, but I also added some Stickles to each flower.

AND the more I played with my papers, the more I realized I could also combine this with Kristina Werner's color challenge #56: rose red, yellow, orange, blue and light green. The light green color wasn't as pronounced in the paper and stickers, so I also added some green rhinestones. Here is Kristina's color swatch, I got pretty close, didn't I?

My next card uses one of the cute birdie chip stickers. I think there are 3 in the pack, but I picked this little guy cause he is so bright and fun!! This time I tied the bow on the left side and used a white button tied with some burlap string. Again I used Verve's Circular Sayings for the sentiment. I love how versitile this set is, I almost never use them in actual circles -LOL!

Thanks for stopping by.

P.S. Check out the new Rob picture I posted! Man oh man, what a smile!
P.S.S. Don't forget you still have time to play along with the HSE cupcake inspiration challenge. Everyone is welcome to play along!! There is a super prize package going to one lucky player this week!!! You DON'T need to use cupcakes on your card, just be inspired by that delicious cupcake! Check out this this post on the HSE blog to see this week's cupcake and challenge deets!

Card Deets:

Stamps - Circular Sayings
Ink - black
Paper - real red, night of navy, yoyo yellow, rose red, baja breeze, white
Pattern paper - Junebug
Accessories - rhinestones, white and pure poppy grosgrain ribbon, scorepal, Junebug chipboard stickers

Some Verve and a chance to WIN some HSE!!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday. I have a Verve card to share using Amy R's sketch! I've said it before, I really love Amy's sketches. I seriously wish I could stamp in my sleep, I could play along more often -LOL!

This card uses one of the sentiments from Verve's new set, Just For You. I think this one is perfect for a mother, so I combined it with some sentiments from Because of You and turned this into kinda Mother's Day card. I love that this set has the branch images in several sizes, makes it perfect for stamping on both image and sentiment panels!

I went kinda monochromanic with this one, but it was not intended! I actually had lots of pink out and a piece of MME DP for the circle part -but couldn't make it work. So, it ended up being this. The brown colors are from Prism the Suede brown light and Suede brown medium. That crocheted flower is so fun I bought it off of Etsy!! The 1/4" light brown grosgrain is from Heidi's store, with 87 colors you can find a ribbon to match every card!!

Here is a picture of the inside. I stamped the larger branch image along the bottom in Mellow Moss and then Mom in chocolate chip above it. I think this turned out very earthy with just the right amount of elegance!!

AND, check this out- Hope Stamps Eternal is sponsoring this week's challenge at The Next Level... I was new to this challenge blog until Rach directed me to them. They are based out of the UK, and have challenges that step it up a bit - to the Next Level!! They also post tips, techniques, freebies all week long! Play along in this week's challenge for a chance to win a $25 Store credit at Hope Stamps Eternal! This week's Challenge is a sketch, but the Next Level twist is to make your image with a 3D element. There is a tutorial available on how to make a gorgeous 3D rose. But, if that is a bit too much, you can also layer your image -anything that makes the image have some dimension to it.

Here is a detail shot of the flower (click for a larger image). Thanks for stopping by!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Because of you, Just for you
Paper - Vintage Cream, Suede brown light and medium
Ink - chocolate chip, mellow moss
Accessories - 1/4" grosgrain, oval nesties, swiss dots EF, brads, double ended tag nesties, crocheted flower, CM circle makers

The image and sentiment are from Unity's June KOTM -what a perfect match. AND so would these cute Basic Grey Gamma stamps called Tree -love those cherries too!!

The cute little felt flowers are Zva Creative from both the Cozy and the Cool mix! The centers are the totally addictive silver pearls from Michael's. If you recognize the layout, it's AmyR's sketch from last week.

A baby shower for a new oodabug!

There’s a new baby Diva on the way, and today we’re celebrating with a suprise shower hop! So come along with us and do the shower blog hop to help celebrate the arrival of Charmaine’s new little oodabug, Isabelle! The shower started at the Verve Stamps blog, so if you’ve just happened along, head back over there to see what Julee made!

My card uses Verve's Practically Perfect set combined with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. The bunny is pieced with some Lemon Tart bitty dots DP and colored with copic markers and highlighted with a Stardust pink glitter pen! The ribbon is PTI's Sweet Blush (which I discovered is a perfect match for SU! Pink Pirouette) and the pink background strip is from the Pink Pirouette's DSP. I went CAS again, I am lovin' the clean look and hope Charmaine enjoys it too!!

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to Shannan's blog for some more cuddly goodness.

Card Deets:

Stamps - Practically Perfect

Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper - White, lemon tart, lemon bitty dots and bitty squares DP (all PTI), pink pirouette
Accessories - light pink kaiser rhinestones, Sweet Blush twill ribbon, circle nesties

Some Verve and NEW BASIC GREY!

Hi everyone! I have several cards to share today. First up is another Verve card from this newly released set Forever in our Hearts. I stamped the large leaf image in Old Olive, cut it out, popped it up and tied some silver cord around it.

The cool pattern paper is from Mark's Paper Co, from their Old Fashion Courtship collection. This paper has a texture/cloth look to it, but it is actually smooth! I used my mega curvy rectangle nestabilities for the layers and frames, and some of my silver pearls from Michael's.

Next is a double challenge card. I did the SCS CAS challenge to make a birthday card and this week's Fall To Layout sketch 49. The DP is from the new June Bug 6x6 paper pad and the chipboard is from the June Bug Chipboard stickers! Yep! I got the "BUG"-LOL!! Each flower has some Kaiser pearls on it. The sentiment is from a Paper Studio Co. clear stamp set and inked with VersaMagic Night Sky chalk ink -the only kind that sticks to the cheapo clear stamps!

The last card also uses new Basic Grey - the Lemonade 6x6 paper and cute little Gamma stamps, Owls!! Basic Grey has stolen my heart once again -me likey!! I followed today's SCS Sketch challenge. I had some trouble with this one, I ended up changing the proportions of the panels to get it to work for me. Sorry Rox!

I colored the owls with Copic markers and put a tiny rhinestone in one eye. You know, from a distance their bottoms look like mouths -ack, creepy! There is some scoring around the edges of the panel and at the bottom of the card. The rhinestone embellishments are from Zva Creative, Coffee & Chocolate -love these things cause you can cut and stick them in any arrangement!

Speaking of the Zva crystal flourishes, don't be afraid to do this ----->
Heehee! I cut and rearrange on my card like crazy!

Be sure to stop by Rachel's store, Hope Stamps Eternal to check out all the new Basic Grey goodies!! AND, she stocked up on lots of my FAV Zva Creative stuff too!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great evening.

P.S. I am cleaning out my stash of cards and having a Garage Sale over at my Etsy store. Lots of discounted and reduced prices on my cards. If you're interested, check it out -see my sidebar for the link!!

Sunday's Cupcake inspiration challenge 14

Hi everyone! Today is Hope Stamps Eternal's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, 14! These are some ka-uuuute cupcakes, BUT I don't have any penguin stamps or images, and had the hardest time -I just couldn't see past them! So, eventually I went with the soft pastel colors on the frosting in Basic Grey's Wisteria DP!

Check out these delicious cuppies!!

Everyone is invited to play along. Just post a link to your creations to the HSE blog (linked above) and be sure to use keyword CIC14 on SCS.

Here is my card. It's actually a triple challenge card. I combined it with today's SCS Featured Stamper challenge. This week we are honoring B-Gin-R! What a fantastic gallery she has! It took me quite a while to settle on this lovely card. I kept the same general layout and the use of a Greeting Farm image, but changed the papers and some key elements -like adding lace at the bottom. I used Miss Anya Stamp Set -love these images. I usually don't care for images without noses or mouths, but for the most part she is always looking down, so I kinda forgive it! LOL!

This is also for the Copic Creations challenge 7-to color brunette hair. I colored this image with Copics and used, seriously about 15 markers on it!! Whew! But, I love this copic challenge blog because has such inspiration. The lace is from my granny's tin, the rhinestones are Kaiser in Light Green and the sentiment is from Verve, Circular Sayings.

Card Deets:
Stamps - Miss Anya, circular sayings
Paper - Bordering blue, white, Wisteria
Accessories - Copic markers, rhinestones, lace, cuttlebug flowers die
