Spellbinders Glimmering Peonies - 2 card designs

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing 2 more cards using the Glimmering Flowers collection by Spellbinders. This collection features two A2 sized floral glimmer plates, 1 glimmer sentiment plate with dies and a coordinating layering stencil sets for both of the florals! If you missed my previous post sharing 2 Glimmering Buttercup cards, you can check it out HERE.
GLIMMERING PEONIES AND CURVED EVERYDAY SENTIMENTS

My first card uses the Glimmering Peonies plate and a sentiment from the Curved Everyday Sentiments. I foiled the peonies with gold foil and stenciled them with shades of peachy-corals with several shades of cool toned blue green leaves.
Like the Glimmering Buttercups, the Peonies plate has coordinating layering stencils which I love because these are large and for those who don't like lots of coloring, layering stencils are a good option. The Glimmering Peonies glimmer plate WITH layering stencils is $15.19 more than the plate alone.
To add a little something extra, I looked through my stash of Be Bold Blooms and found the perfect shade of peachy-coral die cut and I added it over the left side of the sentiment which I foiled in gold.

GLIMMERING PEONIES AND YANA'S SPECIAL SENTIMENTS

For my second card, I went with something totally different for me. I foiled the Glimmering Peonies plate with gold foil on Blue Spruce cardstock and lightly colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils.
I love my white cards, but there is something magical with dark cards. I matted the image to matte gold cardstock then adhered it to a black card base. This card came together pretty fast, especially when I have a variety of sentiments already foiled and die cut in my stash.

 Products used on these cards:
**bundle with the stencils is sold out, but it is in stock at Scrapbook.com**
Spellbinders cardstock in Blue Spruce and Onyx

Fresh Picked Vase Just Because card

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a fun card from the Fresh Picked collection by Spellbinders. This month Spellbinders released 3 die sets to this collection, this is the first time I've used a die set from this collection and I just love how it turned out.
FRESH PICKED VASE BOUQUET

The die set is called Fresh Picked Vase Bouquet and it's designed to fill the entire card front of an A2 sized card. The sentiment is from the new Curved Everyday Sentiments Glimmer. I love the variety of sentiments in this set. I glimmered a variety of colors to keep in my stash so I can grab and adhere.
I used a color combination from the Color Cube Volume 2 and I just love how the colors pop together.
To create the detailing in the vase, I die cut a second vase then embossed it with the Leafy Helix embossing folder. Then I trimmed a strip near the bottom and adhered Champagne Glitter cardstock to both sides. For the details along the top I used the tiny flower centers. I just love the extra wow factor the glitter cardstock adds!

Supplies used on this card:
Black Glossy cardstock
Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors (background splatter)

Spellbinders Glimmering Buttercups - 2 card designs

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing 2 cards using the Glimmering Flowers collection by Spellbinders. This collection features two A2 sized floral glimmer plates, 1 glimmer sentiment plate with dies and a coordinating layering stencil sets for both of the florals!
GLIMMERING BUTTERCUPS AND CURVED EVERYDAY SENTIMENTS

My first card uses the Glimmering Buttercups plate and a sentiment from the Curved Everyday Sentiments. I foiled the buttercups with black foil and stenciled them with shades of yellow with cool toned blue green leaves.
I love that this collection has coordinating layering stencils. These are large images and for crafters who are intimidated by lots of coloring, layering stencils are a great solution at a really great price. The Glimmering Buttercups glimmer plate WITH layering stencils is $12.59 more than the plate alone.
I wanted to bring out more of the green in the leaves, so I foiled the sentiment with green foil. I love how it turned out!

GLIMMERING BUTTERCUPS AND WONDERFUL SCRIPT SENTIMENTS

For my second card, I went with a no-coloring and clean look. I foiled the Glimmering Buttercups plate with Pastel Mint (from the 4 pack of Satin Pastels) and trimmed it down to fill the lower left side.
I added a few gold gems to the centers and added a die cut sentiment and was done! This card was pretty easy to make, especially when I have a variety of sentiments already foiled and die cut in my stash.

 Products used on these cards:
Foil rolls in Black, Green and Pastel Mint

Stay tuned over the next week or so for 2 cards using Glimmering Peonies from this collection!

Tim Holtz Vault Watch Gears card

Hi everyone! I'm excited to be collaborating with Scrapbook.com and sharing inspiration for the Tim Holtz Vault 2 Everyday release. This release celebrates 15 years of collaboration between Tim Holtz and Sizzix and they brought back 5 die sets reimagined with new sizes!
For my mini slimline card, I used the amazing gear dies from the Vault Watch Gears set #66603. I die cut them from silver mirror, holographic and forest green cardstock and I lightly stenciled the background using the Halftone stencil using Rustic Wilderness distress oxide ink. I wish the camera captured the wonderful sparkle of the holographic paper better, in photos it shows up as a blueish color which is misleading.
All of the accent "dots" I used around the gears are the negative pieces from the gears die cuts. I love to save all my die cut bits and pieces to see what I can use as accents! It's a great way to coordinate accents perfectly.
Stay tuned over the next couple of weeks for a few more cards using these amazing die sets. In the meantime, be sure to check out the entire release and take advantage of Scrapbook.com's pricing, coupon codes and freebies you get with each order!

Pretty Pink Peonies card

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing one last card from the Let's Celebrate collection by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders. In case you missed my other cards showcasing this release you can check them out HERE and HERE and HERE. This entire collection is so lovely you should check it out!
PEONY CELEBRATION DIE SET

My card uses the Peony Celebration die set from the collection and I used the Fluted Circles die set for the background. I added a strip of black and white stripes patterned paper edged with a 1/8" strip of black cardstock to give the peony a nice contrast.
I used vellum for my peony outline because I wanted something solid to adhere the peony die cut pieces to, and have it blend in with the background. I love the effect of using vellum! I used white cardstock for the outline and leaves and used 2 shades of pink and pieced the peony petals.
It's hard to see in the photos, but there is a touch of shimmer to the pink petals. I used a couple of my glitter brush markers. They are quick and easy with a huge impact!
